You've never heard the prodigal son tale told like this.

Eddie Caruthers didn't ask for a lot in life: a fast car, some good tunes, and a certain pretty girl to share them with.  But a random turn of events flips his priorities upside-down. When he comes to the aid of a friend being harassed on the street, his good deed backfires. Almost everyone he knows condemns his actions. His church shuns him. Friends and family are ripped away from him. Even worse, the man he confronted is bent on revenge, and innocent people become collateral damage in an undeclared war. With a shrinking list of allies and a growing roster of enemies, Eddie must stay one step ahead his foes and face a colossal evil hiding in plain sight in the suburbs.  Woven throughout the story is an exploration of the morality of violence, the workings of temptation, and the sometimes surprising road to redemption.

Fighting Back is book one of the Solid Rock Survivor series, although each book is stand-alone and can be read in any order. The SRS series explores a truth that all Christians know and few discuss: There is no hurt like church hurt.
